Radio Frequency Liposuction Reviews: Liposuction Or Lipolysis – Which Is Best For You?

Having a toned, slim body is a goal for a lot of people, but it’s not an easy one to achieve. Eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise can help, especially when it comes to losing a lot of weight. But sometimes, even those efforts fall short. We’re gonna do some unbiased radio frequency liposuction reviews.

Body contouring procedures like radio frequency liposuction or radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis are so popular among both men and women looking to slim down and tone up. At The Nikolov Center for Plastic Surgery, we offer both lipolysis and liposuction using the most advanced techniques and technology so patients can reach their goals. The first step is deciding which procedure is a better option for you.

Liposuction Vs. Radiofrequency-Assisted Lipolysis

Although both liposuction and lipolysis get rid of unwanted fat, they do it differently. As a result, your recovery experience will be different following each procedure, and the results you can expect will also vary.

Knowing what to expect from each approach can help you set realistic goals, and it can also help you feel more confident throughout your treatment. You’ll also understand how to prepare yourself before surgery and what to expect with recovery and maintaining your new body profile.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a time-tested treatment for getting rid of fat in the belly, butt, hips, thighs, arms, and other areas.

During the liposuction procedure, Dr. Nikolov makes one or two small incisions near the treatment area and inserts a long flexible tube called a cannula. The cannula has a blunt tip to break apart fat to suction out fat from your body.

At The Nikolov Center for Plastic Surgery, Dr. Nikolov uses different liposuction techniques depending on the needs and goals of the patient. One technique, called VASER® liposuction, uses ultrasound technology to help break up fat into smaller pieces, so it’s easier to remove. Another technique is Sculpsure which uses light-based tech to reduce fat. Other techniques use a special fluid to help break up fat.

These options can help reduce bleeding in the treatment area, so you heal more quickly. Once liposuction is complete, your skin will need time to tighten up over the treatment area. Because skin loses its natural elasticity with age, in older patients, the skin over the treatment area might remain laxer in older patients. For older patients with less elastic skin, radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis might be a better option or even radio frequency liposuction.

Radio Frequency Liposuction

Compared with traditional liposuction methods, radiofrequency lipo offers a less invasive procedure that requires only local anesthesia and produces minimal bruising. It also works simultaneously to tighten the skin in the treated area for a more refreshed look.
With radiofrequency lipo, however, the surgeon uses a smaller cannula and inserts it into the skin at an angle to get beneath the fatty tissue layers. A controlled heat source called ThermaTip is applied, which causes the fat cells to explode while leaving nearby blood vessels intact. This allows the fatty tissues to be easily suctioned out.

The majority of radiofrequency liposuction reviews are positive. People who have undergone the procedure say that it works well on certain parts of the body while being less effective for others. Women who have tried out radiofrequency lipo to get rid of their flanks, legs, stomach, and upper arms are happy with the results they achieved after one or two sessions.

However, the procedure is not approved for use on obese patients nor larger areas of fat removal. This treatment is meant strictly for smaller volumes of fat located in particular parts of the body, and an even more targeted treatment is used called radiofrequency lipolysis.

Radiofrequency liposuction is a good choice for individuals who have areas of concern on the body that contain fat, such as flanks, inner and outer thighs, abdomen, and buttocks that are stubborn even with a healthy diet and exercise. This procedure may also be used in the knee and elbow region to reduce excess skin or fat tissue. Radio-frequency liposuction can treat specific areas of concern or be used in combination with other cosmetic procedures.

Radiofrequency-Assisted Lipolysis

Radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to break apart and liquefy fat so it can be absorbed and removed naturally by your body. At The Nikolov Center for Plastic Surgery, Dr. Nikolov uses a technique called BodyTite®. During the BodyTite procedure, Dr. Nikolov makes a tiny opening near the treatment area. Then, he inserts a wire probe and advances it toward the fatty tissue removed.

The probe emits controlled bursts of RF energy at specific intervals. In radiofrequency lipolysis treatment, energy works to heat fat cells, breaking down the cell walls and melting and liquefying fat tissue. Over the next few weeks, your body will remove the liquefied debris and eliminate it from your body.

Because radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis uses heat energy to melt fat, it offers many other advantages. First, the heat emitted by the probe helps seal off tiny blood vessels, so there’s a lot less bleeding. And second, the heat helps tighten up the skin over the treatment area, making it a good option for people whose skin has lost some of its natural elasticity. Lipolysis is also associated with minor tissue damage and a faster and more comfortable recovery.

The most significant disadvantage of radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis treatment compared to liposuction: It’s not designed to remove as much fat. If you have a more substantial amount of fat you’d like to have removed, liposuction might be better for you.

Maintaining Your Body After Liposuction Or Lipolysis

Maintaining your body after liposuction depends on several factors, such as your lifestyle and eating habits. First, you need to change your eating habits and maintain a healthy diet: eat small portions and avoid high-fat content foods. Also, keep in mind that coffee, alcohol, and sugar must be avoided as these will affect your recovery and post-liposuction recovery.

Nowadays, various methods are available to maintain an attractive body shape after a liposuction procedure. These methods include sports and exercise. Sports can help you improve your physical condition, thus achieving the desired results faster. However, keep in mind that you should not overdo sports. Start slowly and increase your intensity gradually. Exercises can help you improve your breathing, burn excess calories, reduce stress levels.

You can also ask your doctor if you can avail of additional cosmetic procedures that can maintain your desired physical profile by looking over radio frequency liposuction reviews.
